KentGRIT adds five more this weekend

The positive momentum continued for the Kent State football program this past weekend as they secured five more commitments to their class of 2025.

This gives Kent State 17 commitments already in the class of 2025, which Rivals.com ranks them number one in the Mid-American Conference.

Aiden Burgess is a 6-3, 295 pound defensive tackle from Gaithersburg, Maryland and attends Riverdale Baptist. “The atmosphere and coaching staff is just different,” Burgess said. “Coach Burns is a great Head Coach and I believe in what he is preaching and I know I can put my all into it. I will bring a winning atmosphere to the table.”

Azir Lee is a 6-1,165 pound corner from Camden, New Jersey. Lee had offers from Michigan State, Boston College among others.

Zy’Aire Fletcher is a 6-5, 215 pound Tight End from Springfield, Ohio and Springfield High School.

Deante Ruffin is a 6-2, 219 pound Quarterback from Neumann Goretti High School in Philadelphia. “Just love the environment and coaching staff,” Ruffin said on why Kent State. “Really just felt true and genuine love throughout the whole process. Kent State is getting a winner and someone who refuses to lose.”

Ben Rothaar is a 6-5, 210 pound product of Norwalk High School who projects as a Tight End.
