GFR FLASHback Friday Volume 1: Kent State stuns the Cyclones

Golden Flash Report will be throwing it back for our GFR FLASHback Fridays where we look back on a positive memory in Kent State athletics history.

Today we go back 17 years to the day to August 30, 2007 when Kent State went to Ames, Iowa and beat the Big 12’s Iowa State Cyclones.

Eugene Jarvis rushed for 113 yards and a touchdown while Julian Edelman passed for 161 yards and a TD, while rushing for 75 yards and another score. Kent State opened the scoring with a 42 yard strike through the air from Edelman to receiver Leneric Muldrow in the second quarter.

The Flashes scored two third quarter touchdown both from two yards out from Jarvis and Edelman to secure a rare Power Five win! Unfortunately the Flashes would finish 3-9 that season in Doug Martin’s fourth year.
