Today we FLASHback 18 years to September 16 of 2006. Kent State went to Miami (OH) in their MAC opener and beat the RedHawks 16-14.
The win snapped a 12 game losing streak for Kent State dating back to the 2005 season. Julian Edelman’s first win in a KSU uniform was a memorable one, as he threw for 244 yards on 14-22 passing while rushing for 51 yards on 12 carries. This win started a five game winning streak, leading to a 6-6 season, and the Julian Edelman experience was well on it’s way.
