The Kent State football program received a verbal commitment Friday night from Class of 2025 linebacker Trey Rubinstein. Rubinstein is a 6-4, 195 pound product of Napoleon High School in Napoleon, Ohio.
The commitment of Rubinstein begins a big weekend for Kent State, as they have several student athletes on campus this weekend for official visits.
Rubinstein was a 1st Team All-State player in Ohio in Division IV in the 2023 season and was the Northern Lakes League Defensive Player of the Year.

Rubinstein is also a standout baseball player, who’s Napoleon team lost to Padua last week in the Regional Finals.
He joins Nolan Good (Avon), Bryce Griffin (Yorkville), and TaRyan Martin (East Saint Louis) in the 2025 class.
